Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2013. Verified Purchase. Venessa Mae does an excellent job of recreation the original four seasons by Vivaldi. She takes is a step further with two original pieces and a revamped of the infamous Devils Trill. The Four Seasons is a group of four violin concerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives musical expression to a season of the year. They were written around 1716–1717 and published in 1725 in Amsterdam, together with eight additional concerti, as Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione. The Four Seasons is the best known of Vivaldi's. Vanessa-Mae – The Original Four Seasons And The Devil's Trill Sonata. Label: EMI – 7243 4. Nigel Kennedy's popular recording took quite a few liberties; Vanessa-Mae is perhaps a little.
I think I am better off with one of her other cds that contains original compositions. Just about anyone (that is trained on some sort of instrument) can perform Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'. Nevertheless Vanessa does a marvelous job performing Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'.
